Are you prepared for growing older? Protecting yourself and your family when managing and transferring your business and wealth.

We are thrilled to welcome Larissa Howard to our Women in Business Event for November.

Larissa has joined Hunter-based law firm Catherine Henry Lawyers as a Senior Associate specialising in

  • estate planning – including wills
  • business succession
  • wealth management & wealth transfer- including SMSFs & trusts.

Everyone needs to have a properly drafted will to make sure that their estate goes to the people they want it to go to. For businesswomen, particularly those with self-managed super funds or trusts, it is even more critical that estate planning documents are properly drafted.

SMSFs and trusts are widely used and an effective means for business women to manage wealth but there are many pitfalls that people need to consider when establishing the most effective structure for their needs. Major life moments such as marriage, divorce, blended families, the death of a partner, as well as children starting relationships, can bring unforeseen complications if estate plans and documents aren’t reviewed and updated.

When transferring your wealth or business to the next generation it is important that you protect yourself and also protect your kids, often from themselves.

Larissa is well qualified on this important topic. She has specialised in the field of superannuation and business structuring for 15 years having worked for top tier law firms in Sydney, Melbourne and London. A University of Newcastle alumni, with commerce and law degrees, Larissa is also completing a specialist Applied Masters in Estate Planning.

Join us to get Larissa’s expert insight into the tools you can use to plan for wealth creation, growing older, business succession and transferring wealth.
