Meet Sarah Cooper-Griffiths

Casual Support Assistant

What’s going on in your life right now?

I’m currently studying a Bachelor of Arts degree at the University of Newcastle with a focus on Languages, so my very thrilling life usually consists of studying hard, working and reading. I also have a second job at the Hunter Sports Centre where I cater and host for children’s parties and cater for events.

What mindset do you use in approaching your work that makes you an asset to Precision?

I really enjoy interacting with customers from all walks of life and assisting them in any way I can. I take great pride in achieving a high standard of work, an ethic that is essential in a high functioning team like Precision.

How long have you been in this role?

I have been part of the Precision team for 3 years assisting in secretarial duties.

Do you have any quirky or interesting past times?

Absolutely! One could even say I’m packed full of them. In my studies, I am currently learning both Latin and AUSLAN (Australian Sign Language), and absolutely loving it!

I fence in the University Fencing Club and previously to that I was in a marching band for 6 years alternating between flags and playing the Trombone.

In July of 2017, I did the World’s Greatest Shave and three years previous, cut my hair to donate for the Wigs for Kids Foundation. I can also make a mean cup of coffee.

Who are some of your favourite musical artists?

I have such a diverse range of music likes I don’t even know where to start. I absolutely love a lot of the classics; Led Zeppelin, Metallica and The Eagles to include a few. Some more obscure artists include; Celtic Woman, Melanie Martinez, K.Flay, LP and of course I have my guilty pleasure music but I think I’ll be keeping those to myself.

Who is your role model?

Emma Watson! Not only does she play two of the most amazing characters, Hermione Granger and Belle, but her advocacy work is inspiring. Her HeforShe UN speech still resonates with me today.
